There were four of us. Heavy bags loaded with camera gear and two bags worth of light-stands and a tripod. Somehow we managed to cram within the cubicle sized cab. It was early morning at around 6AM and we were traveling at the rate of knots on the expressway. All of a sudden, the rear tire ruptured with the cab in motion at 100km/hr.
Luckily the driver ignored the advice of pulling over to a side with the vehicle vibrating furiously after the tire burst. He kept cool and continued to balance the car in one straight line. If he would have pulled aside, no doubt it would have spelt doom with vehicles from behind appraoching at light speed. Eventually the cab came to a halt. Thank god, we all were safe. It was definitely, a lesson to live life better having stared at death up close. A lesson to not take each day for granted.
The point I want to drive home is, let 2015 be the best year. Merely announcing won’t do. Work hard, set goals, achieve them and continue to learn. Challenge yourself and explore the unexplored. Happy New Year 2015!
It is rightly said – “For one’s Imagination, sky is the limit!”
A strike of imagination and our day is transformed into a worthy one. Once the human mind is stretched, it never regains its original boundaries. It is a beautiful monster. If feeded with regular supply of inspiration, it can transform a life. If not, it can ruin one.
Leaves! I’m fascinated by them. Each leaf has a unique texture, shape & colour to it. The symmetry, the lines & the details truly testify the wonderful creation of the nature. As the season’s progress, they transform uniquely & again take on an entirely new character. I’m obsessed with all these qualities of leaf. Here is another photo series on them. Enjoy.
Love – Two Bodies, One Soul

The best thing about giving your views on a particular thing is that it enables the person in front of you to learn new things. It presents a new dimension to the same thing. However, the words by you can also have an unfavorable effect on the person who asked your opinion in first place if not presented properly. Being a photographer, you’re probably registered over many of the top photography forums & sites over the web. You read blogs, forum threads, address photography queries in person, over chat etc. It becomes more so essential that you communicate your views on a particular work precisely & in the same way you feel. It becomes vital that there is no chance for your words to be misinterpreted.
Finally, Mumbai has experienced some respite from the sweltering heat. Contrary to predictions of MET, the rain has arrived early & cooled down the city. It was a great welcome as most mumbaiikars were caught unawares & didn’t expected any rain today as the weather for most part of day was hot & humid. Suddenly, as sunset came close the entire sky got engulfed with thick grey clouds. It was then just a matter of time, as heavy rains preceded for the coming one & half hours.
I was enjoying the strong breeze from my apartment’s gallery ready with my camera & as it started to rain heavily, I went out with my sister to capture the first rain on my camera. It was a great experience. It made me realize why I love this wonderful season of monsoon so much each time. It has made me fall in love once again with Photography. Further it has strengthened my belief that one should not always run to get good photographs but relax for a moment, put your camera down & appreciate the beauty of the nature around. Enjoy the monsoon folks.
